Dare to Care
Do you DARE to CARE?
A Santiago’s supporter told me that her family asked her if she knew me personally.
And the answer was no. She answered she knew me only through Facebook.
So, they asked her: Why are you obsessed with problems that are not yours !?
She replied to them: I’m not obsessed, I’m in solidarity.
I leave here this poem that I saw on the internet, so everyone can translate it. Please have in mind SS= Social Services.
“When SS came for the Indian’s children, I did not speak out —
because I was not an Indian;
When SS came for the Black’s children, I did not speak out —
because I was not Black;
When SS came for the single mom’s children, I did not speak out —
because I was not a single mom;
When SS came for the poor’s children, I did not speak out —
because I was not poor;
When SS came for the disabled’s children, I did not speak out —
because I was not disabled;
When SS came for the foster children’s children, I did not speak out —
because I had not been a foster child;
When SS came for the children of victims of domestic violence, I did not speak out —
because I was not a victim of domestic violence;
When SS came for the homeschooler’s children, I did not speak out —
because I was not a homeshooler;
When SS came for my children,
there was no one left to speak out for me.
♥ Please share my post. 😉 Please stand for Santiago. I choose to speak out for my baby Santiago. ♥
